Tech: Calibrating PowerBook Battery
Ever get the feeling that your laptop is lasting as long as it used to on battery? Before you go out and buy a new battery try re-calibrating the battery. The basic steps are:1) Fully charge your laptop.
2) Unplug the power adapter and use the laptop until it runs low on battery.
( Save all your work and quit applications before the computer goes to sleep )
3) Let the computer automatically goto sleep.
4) Let the computer sleep for some time before plugging the power back in.
5) Charge the computer until it's full.
