News: Google CEO Dr. Eric Schmidt Joins Appleās Board of Directors
Apple announced yesterday that Dr. Eric Schmidt is joining it's Board of Directors. Dr. Eric Schmidt is the current CEO of Google. Perhaps we'll see some closer ties between the two companies in the future.I think this will help improve and influence the future of Apple's server line. Imagine Google switching all their servers to Xserves. It's not too far fetched as Genetech's CEO Arthur D. Levinson, Ph. D. sits on Apple's board and we know they do use the XServes. Even if Apple just sold the machines to Google at cost, it would help them lower the overall cost of the product.
